Depending on your needs, I can streamline the manuscript, eliminate redundant words and phrases, and help you make your points without a lot of jargon and needless words. I am an advocate of plain language, though I do understand the desire to sound polished and professional. -Verify ambiguous statements and clarify points.
This level will delve into developmental editing to improve the entire manuscript, rewrite clunky/wordy sections, and improve pace, tension, and character development (in fiction).
In non-fiction, fact-checking, clarity, and concision are key. The manuscript will be easier to read by deleting repetitive or wordy sections, and points will be more clear and understandable.
Fee: $.04-.06 (or higher) per word. A manuscript of 50,000 words would range from $2000-3000 per project.
